Botanical gardens have always been among the places that I enjoy visiting and photographing. They offer a chance to observe living plant collections, plant diversity, different forms of adaptation, and the way plants are presented and conserved in different countries.
Most of the photographs in this section were taken during my PhD and postdoctoral years, as well as during later scientific, professional and personal travels. Some of these visits were directly related to my botanical work, research and teaching, while others were simply part of my interest in plants, landscapes and natural history.
In this section, I’ve gathered photographs from botanical gardens that I have visited in France, Iran and other countries.
This page is not meant to be a complete scientific guide to these gardens. It is simply a visual record of places, plants and collections that I found interesting over the years.
