The Botanical Garden of Bordeaux is one of the historic botanical gardens in France. Its origins go back to the 17th century, while the present botanical collections were later developed and expanded in different parts of the city. Today, the garden contains a large diversity of native and exotic plant species and remains an important place for botanical education, plant conservation and public outreach.

I visited the garden on 12 April 2017. During this visit, I photographed several plant species, flowers and botanical labels that attracted my attention, including ornamental and woody species from different regions. Like many botanical gardens, Bordeaux offers the possibility to observe living collections of plants that are usually difficult to see together in nature.

باغ گیاه‌شناسی بوردو – فرانسه (۲۰۱۷)

باغ گیاه‌شناسی بوردو یکی از باغ‌های گیاه‌شناسی قدیمی فرانسه است. پیشینه آن به قرن هفدهم بازمی‌گردد و مجموعه‌های امروزی آن در دوره‌های مختلف توسعه پیدا کرده‌اند. امروزه این باغ دارای تنوع قابل توجهی از گونه‌های بومی و غیربومی است و همچنان نقش مهمی در آموزش گیاه‌شناسی، حفاظت گیاهان و آشنایی عمومی با تنوع گیاهی دارد.
